Go Fly a Kite
Thank Aunties Jess & Nicole.
We took Reefie to fly his first kite today after dinner. Reef loved it. What a great form of exercise and wonderment.

Lets go Opa! |
Opa . . . Dad - I can hold it myself. |
I see it way up there. |
Offered to the wind . . . . the kite takes flight. |
The kite is movement. It dances in the sky as the child on the ground invents choreography: forward, back, hold the line steady, pull, feed out, run together. It is not unusual to hear a child inventing an imaginary world as he flies, identifying with the kite by giving it a name, character, a role in the great theater of the sky.

Reef - 20 Months

Reef & Julius Play
Tickling children is one of those customary kinds of play that is handed down from generation to generation. Everyone knows that all kids do what you do. One of Reef's favorite games is Tickle - Tickle. He loves when you chase him too.

Reef Indy Loves His Blood Oranges
Not sure why Opa waited until Oma gave Reefie his bath to feed him these juicy homegrown Blood Oranges . . . . neverthehey he really enjoyed them.
The blood orange is a variety of orange with crimson, almost-blood-colored flesh. The fruit is roughly the same size as an average orange, but sometimes can be smaller or larger; its skin is usually pitted, but can be smooth.

Look Who Is 19-Months-Old
Reef Indy met the Easter Bunny (Dad) yesterday. As you can tell from his face - Reef did not like the Easter Bunny too much. However, Reef's cousins and friends loved him.
The Easter Bunny (also called the Easter Rabbit or Easter Hare) is a symbol of Easter, depicted as a rabbit bringing Easter eggs. Originating among German Lutherans, the "Easter Hare" originally played the role of a judge, evaluating whether children were good or disobedient in behavior at the start of the season of Eastertid.

Reef Indy Learns to Swim
Getting Ready for Summer
Reef Indy, who is almost 19 months old, started swim lessons today. Jeff and Monica Noonan founded Noonan Family Swim School, Inc. in January of 2004. They seek to provide the BEST swimming and learning experience possible.
Reef was very reluctant at first. However, the half hour went quickly and Reef spent the last half of the class becoming more comfortable. He was able to relax and participate in the activities. Good Job Reef! Good Job Mom!

Fun Times at Sierra & Johnny's Wedding
Reef Indy really enjoyed the activities of Sierra and Johnny’s wedding.
He was even able to sit still . . . well pretty still during the ceremony. Of course Reefs’ favorite part of it all was playing with cousin Sofia and the other kids.
