Reef Indy Roams Oscar Rose Park

On his first cross-states skate trip, Reef Indy roams the Oscar Rose Park. This skatepark in Abilene, TX was built in 2001 by a local contractor. 

The Oscar Rose Park consist of a street area and a connected flow bowl. The park allows both skaters and bikes, and is lit up at night. Definitely a fun park if you are in the area. 

It was rougher than OB. Made it super slow, Dad commented via Facebook.  Still fun tho.

The Water Garden and More!

Breakfast at the West Side Cafe. They serve classic comfort food in an old-school diner setting decorated with war-veteran memorabilia! Their food was good; the service was great.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens, built in 1974, is located on the south end of downtown Fort Worth between Houston and Commerce Streets next to the Fort Worth Convention Center

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a beautiful and refreshing oasis. Designed by Phillip Johnson (Amon Carter Museum of American Art), the Water Gardens is an architectural and engineering marvel to be enjoyed any time of the year. The park features three pools of water: the aerating, the quiet and the active pool.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Joe’s Pasta and Pizza. Joe's is family owned and proudly located in Historic Downtown Granbury, Texas. This place had the friendliest service and great food at an unbelievably reasonable price.

Family Fun Day in Fort Worth, Texas

We had time for a quick morning walk infront of Uncle Moses and Auntie Sitara's house this morning.   The weather was a nice 64 degrees.

We did the "Tourist" thing at the famous Stockyards

The Fort Worth Stockyards is a historic district that is located in Fort Worth, Texas, north of the central business district. They are a former livestock market which operated under various owners from 1866.

We ended our adventure with dinner at Spiral Diner – a vegan restaurant. The diner opened its door on August 21, 2002. Spiral Diner uses organic ingredients whenever possible. All items on their menu are 100% vegan (no meat, milk, eggs, honey, casein, etc) which means they are naturally cholesterol free. Try their root beer – it is the best.
